Landscaping Naturally was given a very restrictive brief with this project. Council & bushfire regulations demanded that a 5000lt holding tank be constructed in case of bushfires, leaving the client with very little usable yard once the house was constructed.

Further restrictions included a 2.5m high retaining wall across the back of the property to contain the excavation required to build the residence.

Landscaping Naturally made use of the 5000lt holding tank by incorporating a modern water feature which is the main focal point for the small courtyard.

The height of the retaining walls were broken up by using a combination of coloured adobe render, and bagged render, and then softened with the installation of a tiered garden filled with lush cascading plants.
